The agriculture sector is one of the most important industries in the Indian economy, which means it is also a huge employer. There is a need to increase production in agriculture in general and through small and marginal farmers in particular (since majority of holdings belong to this category) which is essential to feed the growing population. It is possible through transfer technology. Such efforts are also essential to achieve self sufficiency in food production as well as from the point of view of national food security. The women are also participating in agricultural activities like dairying (mainly in case of small, marginal farmers and landless laboures) and other programmes for value added in agricultural production (fruit preservation, potato products etc.) they are also engaged in non-agricultural activities like tailoring and weaving etc. They need help for skill information to develop small scale and cottage industry in the rural area for raising family income to bring their families above the poverty line. Keeping in view the above considerations in mind the present society “Society for Upliftment of Rural Areas” was registered in the year 2020 to meet this end. The society has a firm conviction that it is through the spread of education in rural areas that the real social, cultural, economic transformation of rural people can be brought about. So the rural people and rural regions have always been at the focus of programmes and developmental activities.
