Objectives of the society
- Conducting on-farm testing to identify the location specificity of agricultural technologies under various farming systems after sanction of state/central Government.
- Organizing frontline demonstrations to establish production potential of various crops and enterprises on the farmers’ fields.
- Efforts will be made in the direction of organizing need based training of farmers to update their knowledge and skills in modern agricultural technologies related to technology assessment, refinement and demonstration, and training of extension personnel to orient them in the frontier areas of technology development.
- Creating awareness about improved technologies to larger masses through appropriate extension programmes.
- Production and supply of good quality seeds and planting materials, livestock, poultry and fisheries breeds and products and various bio-products to the farming community after the sanction of state/central Government.
- Work as resource and knowledge centre of agricultural technology for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district.
- Publication of research work through journal
- Project implementation after the sanction of state/central Government.

Indian Journal of Human and Agriculture Allied Research is published by the Society for Upliftment of Rural Areas twice in the year i.e. January to June and July to December. The journal covers the multi disciplinary aspects related to agriculture, animal husbandry, social welfare, science and rural development. This is essential for the point of view of strengthening the human resource base through science, education, nutrition and empowerment of women and build physical infrastructure. It can help in extension of promoting opportunities in the production and marketing of the high value live stock production, fruits and vegetables. The journal has wide circulation covering different universities colleges, libraries and research institutions etc in the world.
